Welcome to Lomas Chicas Outfitters. We have just acquired some newly opened country that has never been hunted to implement a Nilgai and Wild Boar harvesting program.

Lomas Chicas was named for its small hills, which are somewhat hidden unless one can visualize the terrain without the trees, brush, & vegetation. As you can see in the photos there is every imaginable species of South Texas brush along with Wild Mustang Grapes and of course your Oak and Mesquite Trees. This rolling sand hill environment offers some of the most challenging hunting opportunities that one can imagine. Come test your skills at stalking one of the most elusive exotics known to Texas. If you have not had the chance to hunt Nilgai before, we urge you to try one on.

Lomas Chicas offers experienced guides who know the area, the animals, and how to hunt them! Our goal is to make your hunt a most rewarding, comfortable and pleasurable experience. Our accommodations are not on site but, are very nearby and extremely comfortable with meals that are second to none.

Nilgai are extremely hard to knock down and keep down. So, we recommend that you practice your shooting! These guys can go forever even after being hit hard. Once you have been on a Nilgai hunt, all else pales in comparison.

We want you to get your animal and take home some of the best meat available. Nilgai meat is extremely good and good for you. My doctor and I highly recommend it.

This is a spot and stalk hunt! There is no sitting around in a blind waiting for these animals to come to you. This is a challenging yet very rewarding hunt. Once you have been on a Nilgai hunt, all else fails to compare.

We require that you bring a Caliber of 300 mag or better and note that a back up shot will be provided (if absolutely needed). Practice your shooting, practice your breathing and you will do fine. If you choose to hunt with Lomas Chicas Outfitters or even some other Outfitter, you will find that practice will pay off. And you will want to choose a bullet that will provide the largest wound channel possible. Check with your gun or bullet dealer and let them help you.

And last, but most certainly not least is SAFETY. We want you arriving standing and smiling and leaving the same way. Please practice your safety instincts and listen to your guide and all will have a great time.
